Nationality: GermanyI was born in 1980, and lived my childhood in Dresden, the schoolyears and youth in northwest Bavaria. I studied Illustration at the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg (Diploma in Design and Master of Arts). Now I'm working as freelance illustrator, author and lecturer and give workshops and readings for adults and children all over the world. My work is exhibited in many different countries and my books are translated in numerous languages.
Key IdeaThe illustrations were meant to transport deep emotions in addition to the text which is written in a quite prosaic style. The main intention was not only to show in an empathic way an everyday situation in a war zone, but also to give an interior view of the hurt soul of the journalist who suffers from a posttraumatic stress disorder.
